Exploring The Need of Teaching Module for Enhancing Higher-Order Thinking Skills

The purpose of this research is to analyze the necessity for development a scientific teaching module based on students' HOTS. Empowerment HOTS in primary school Science Education special requirement ensure students achieve 6 student aspirations outlined Malaysian Development Plan. Specifically, study explores problems and needs develop science subjects that apply Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). ADDIE model which consists analysis, design, development, evaluation, implementation phases. This uses semi-structured interview method six teachers Ministry (MOE) from different schools. objective analysis phase was identify need modules electrical topics under syllabus. To find out module, an conducted with who are experts field Seremban area. Four themes emerged namely; (1) importance learning topics, (2) Problems Science, (3) Teaching strategies, (4) Desired improvements. contributes facilitation improve subjects.
